When it comes to small and midsize business online marketing, I’ve dealt with just about every level of involvement in a partnership. You’ll have access to everything going on with your package so you’re able to be as involved as you prefer. That said, if I’m managing a personal brand for you, there will obviously be the YOU parts of the business that I can’t replicate – video content with your face, etc. But we’ll work to determine the best strategies for getting the content we need in a way that works on your schedule.

During onboarding, we’ll set you up with a few different tools to make communication and project management easy peasy. This will include an invite to:

• Asana: Asana is an online project management platform where discussions about your retainer will happen. This is also where we’ll recap meeting notes, assign tasks and more. While notifications will push to email, a permanent record will remain in Asana with timestamps.
• Google Drive: This shared folder will contain multiple documents, including what we’re working on this month, a parking lot of ideas for the future, a content audit, important links/passwords and more.
• Monthly reporting dashboards: We’ll set up detailed monthly reports tracking all KPIs (key performance indicators) to ensure all sales funnel data and performance is monitored, understood, and applied. My goals is to make sure you are getting the most out of your funnels and lead generation strategy, from the top of the funnel all the way down to the sale.
• Monthly Zoom calls: We’ll touch base once per month to make sure we’re on the same page with our goals and priorities.
• Email access between calls: If something comes up between our monthly calls, feel free to send an email with details so we can make changes to the monthly plan. You’ll get a response within 48 working business hours.

I get it, you don’t want to wait months for results. But I’ve also been doing this long enough to know that jumping right into random, disjointed tactics won’t produce sustainable results.

That’s why we start each retainer relationship by developing a strategic plan that balances quick wins with long-term strategy.

In the first month, you can expect a(n):

• Two- to three-month marketing game plan outlining your main goals and how we will work toward achieving them
• Chunk of time dedicated to checking must-have items off of your immediate to-do list

Marketing and branding, while different, are actually very co-dependent. Branding defines who you are as a company, and is used to express what your company believes in, why it exists, and helps to shape how the consumer feels about you. Marketing is simply a set of tools and strategies used to get your brand in front of the consumer in an effective manner. A brand is made much more valuable through effective marketing — and vice versa!
