So instead of trying to summarize his life’s work, this page is my attempt at giving you the best motherloving look at the Magician Archetype you’ve ever seen.

My fav internet entrepreneur

Magician Brand Archetype

The Magician is one of the most complex of the Brand Archetypes. Mainly, because they can show up in a couple of different ways in the entrepreneurial world.

They can be these mysterious, magical, spiritual, shaman-types that use crystals and journals and all things “woo-woo.” Or they might show up as the genius, technological, guru-type.

But their underlying motivations are the same, regardless of how they present their brand. They make shit happen – as if by magic.

Amanda Frances // Spiritual Bad-ass Boss Lady

Amanda is amazing to watch. She’s a true Magician in that she decides what she wants, then she just makes it happen. Easy as that.

She doesn’t focus on strategy. She doesn’t teach any step-by-step methods. She doesn’t do ANYTHING she doesn’t want to do. Ever. She says that she manifests the amount of money that she’s a vibrational and energetic match to have. And it just blows my analytical mind. Which is why I love it so much.

Plus, she’s an Oklahoma girl like me, so of course she’s on my list.

Fictional characters

brand_archetype_gofilament

THE GOOD

Rafiki

Rafiki is such a fun character. He could have easily fit on the Sage page, but I think he’s more like a shaman with his mystical practices. For example, reading feathers and dirt to know Simba was alive. Magical, right?

THE BAD

Dr. Facilier

He’s usually called the Shadow Man because his shadow has a mind of it’s own. Oh, and even the shadow is evil. He uses magic to manipulate others to get what he wants (money, duh).

THE GOOD

Albus Dumbledore

I mean, everyone uses magic in Harry Potter, so that doesn’t count here. But can you think of a better Magician? I can’t. Dumbledore is the ultimate embodiment of a visionary leader.

THE BAD

Barty Crouch, Jr.

Magicians are all about transformation. And the bad ones are all about manipulation. Since he kidnapped Moody and impersonated him using Polyjuice Potion, I’d say he fits both sides of the Magician Brand Archetype perfectly.

THE GOOD

Iron Man / Tony Stark

Tony is one of the Magicians that uses skill and technology to make things happen. He doesn’t actually have any superpowers, but he’s incredibly intelligent, a natural leader, a scientist, and a true visionary.

THE BAD

Red Skull / Johann Shmidt

This guy was pretty evil… He was Hitler’s right-hand-man after all. And part of HYDRA. Luckily, Captain America took care of him, along with a bunch of other Nazis.

THE GOOD-ISH

Margaery Tyrell

Man, I was so pissed when she died. She was one of my favorite characters to watch. She had a manipulative, but very subtle way of getting exactly what she wanted. I think she would have made an okay Queen.

THE BAD

Melisandre

She’s one of the few characters who possesses real, actual magic. Too bad she’s pure evil… ugh. I know she brought my beloved Jon Snow back from the dead, but I just can’t forgive her for killing Stannis’ daughter.

My favorite part… Music

Rock n roll, baby

Fly from the Inside // Shinedown

It’s about finding a way to achieve your goals in spite of overwhelming odds and learning that the power to do so has always been inside yourself. Plus, Brent Smith’s voice… 😍

Country

Strawberry Wine // Deana Carter

Man, is there a better song to sum up a transformation? Well, maybe it’s a tie with this one.

Pop

Firework // Katy Perry

Fireworks are magical, right? And plastic bags? Just kidding. She’s talking about showing your true self to the world.

My  favorite Magician song

7 Years // Sully Erna

If you don’t know me yet, you should know I’m a bit of a music snob. And I’m really proud of it.

Sure, I can appreciate the occasional pop-y song for fun, but my heart lies with the true musicians who write and play their own music.

So it’s only fitting that this is my favorite song for the Magician Brand Archetype.

This song is definitely in my top 3 favorite songs that have ever existed.
I truly believe that music is the most magical and spiritual form of expression.
“Life is but the memories we’ve created.”

Random internet thing

You never know what’s gonna’ show up in this section

It could be a picture, a person, a gif, a video, a meme, or something else.
It’s a surprise for each Brand Archetype!
Magicians are all about promoting knowledge and power.
Sometimes though, because they’re so smart, they’re a little bit disconnected from others.
But, like Sheldon, we love them anyway.

Hi! Hi! Hi!

I’m Brooke Lawson

I work with service-based entrepreneurs, who are tired of having cookie-cutter, “me-too” businesses that look and sound exactly like every else, and I help them to instead create a highly profitable brand that reflects their true personality and attracts their ideal clients like a freakin’ magnet.

But I’m not just a Brand Strategist, I’ve always been a creative at heart and I refuse to give it up. That means my VIP packages also include done-for-you design assets, too! As a one-on-one client, you also get:

  • a custom logo design
  • a beautiful WordPress website
  • done-for-you copywriting
  • social media graphics and templates
  • marketing materials

And here’s the best part… not only will it look DAMN GOOD, but since I’ll know your brand inside and out after working together, all of those materials are 100% representative of YOUR brand, YOUR goals, and YOUR personality. Pretty cool, right?

But here’s the thing…

Caregiver Brand Archetype

Human brains are crazy, complex, amazing things, y’all

No one that has ever existed fits perfectly inside only 1 of 12 boxes.

That’s why when you work with me, we find your top 3 Brand Archetypes and teach you how to apply the principles to your brand in a way that connects with your ideal audience on a primal, emotional level (hint: that’s where people make decisions). The better you understand your brand (and yourself), the better you can communicate your value.
